Position: Carpenter

Overview:

Looking for applicants that can perform some or all of the following tasks.

Build forms for small walls/structures, frame walls, install doors, hardware, accessories and specialty items/fixtures. Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects.

Looking for applicants that can perform all or some of the above task.

Typical Duties:

• Form small walls/structures
• Install doors, hardware, specialty finishes
• Build scaffolding, platforms and railings
• Build temporary walls
• Basic plan reading and use of mathematics is required for basic layout and measuring
• Pour concrete
• Rig materials for lifting
• Set materials in place
• Give hand signal instructions to operators
• Use of hand tools and power tools
• Properly follow OSHA safety procedures
• Responsible for other duties assigned for the job

Qualifications:

• 1 years experience in field or related field
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Ability to give and understand hand signals
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Applicants who are offered employment will be required to submit to a Drug/Alcohol test and a functional capacity evaluation. This evaluation, which applies to all incoming construction labor employees, is done to determine whether the employee is suited to and capable of performing the essential functions of the position offered.

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing, Balancing on scaffold and walkways
• Bending, Kneeling, Stooping, Crouching, Twisting
• Working in small spaces
• Reaching, Handling, Grasping
• Lifting 50 pounds
• Carry objects 50 to 100 pounds

Work Conditions:

• Environment is outside conditions that involves all weather extremes
• Construction site with uneven terrain and mobile constriction equipment
